About Us

Mapleside Farms, one of the most authentic and beautiful places in America, had its humble start as a roadside market in 1927, when Elmer and Clara Eyssen settled this picturesque farm land. After 84 amazing years, this wonderful place we call paradise is one of the most visited rural entertainment destinations in Ohio.

Our Farm

Temp1 Placeholer

Mapleside Farms is a 100-acre fully functioning apple orchard located in Brunswick, OH. Mapleside Farms has long been a destination for families and friends to get together to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, fresh homegrown produce, piping hot home baked pies and an amazing view of the Northeast Ohio countryside. It's the kind of place where children who once came to Mapleside with their grandparents now bring their own grandchildren to share the same traditions.

History

Temp1 Placeholer

The land where Mapleside Farms sits was first settled by the Tillotson family from Massachusetts. They were drawn there in 1817 by the area's fertile soil. Elmer and Clara Eyssen bought the farm from the Tillotson family in 1927 and moved their family from Lakewood way out into the country. At that time the land consisted of the current property plus many acres across Pearl Road as well as some property on Center Road/Rte. 303. In the earlier years of this beautiful farm, a large stand of maple trees on the side of the hill were used for maple syrup production and became Elmer and Clara's inspiration for naming their land, Mapleside Farms.

Greg and Kelly Clement are both lifelong Brunswick residents who grew up with Mapleside as an important part of their lives. Parents of three young boys, Greg and Kelly know how important Mapleside Farms is, both as a family destination and as a community centerpiece.

The Clements hope to make Mapleside Farms a year-round destination for families throughout Ohio and beyond. They plan to add attractions and give visitors exciting reasons to return often while maintaining the spirit of tradition that’s made Mapleside Farms such a memorable place for so many years.
